2021 Executive Team
YHCC is an entirely student-run competition. The 2021 Executive Team has worked all year with our corporate sponsors and Yale University to deliver a memorable and educational experience for attendees.

Jake Langbein
Case Competition Co-Chair
Jake is second-year MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management. He graduated from Georgetown University in 2013 with a degree in Psychology and Honors Spanish. Subsequently, he worked for Capital One Financial for 6 years, focusing on how to better deliver banking products and services in a digital-first world. Jake spent his summer at Merck in their global vaccines strategy division, helping to drive funding, development, and distribution strategy for Merck's vaccines, including its COVID-19 candidates.
Daniel Benner
Case Competition Co-Chair
Daniel is a second year MBA student. Prior to graduate school, he worked for five years at BluePrint Research Group, a consultancy that specialized in market research and commercialization strategy for pipeline pharmaceuticals, helping manufactures understand how their products will fit into rapidly evolving treatment paradigms. He is interested in facilitating collaboration to accelerate scientific discovery and making its fruits accessible to society. He graduated with a B.A. in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Chicago.
Yuan Wang
Case Competition Co-Chair
Prior to Yale SOM, Yuan worked as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School where he co-authored cases on business in China in industries including healthcare, higher education, new energy vehicles, and finance. Yuan also has experience as a management consultant at EY-Parthenon, where he worked on product launch and growth strategy projects for pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics companies. He graduated from Swarthmore College with high honors in political science and economics.
Joseph Elnahas
Case Director
Joseph is a first-year MBA candidate at Yale School of Management. Prior to business school he lived in London for 10 years where he studied mechanical engineering and worked as a senior designer on energy and sustainability projects in Europe and the Middle East. Interests include chess, water sports, science fiction, and case writing.
Joseph Williams
Case Director
Joseph Williams is a YSPH MPH-CDE ’22 Candidate. He has upwards of 5 years of experience in Emergency Medical Service and upwards of 2 years on various clinical research projects at Baystate Health Care, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Massachusetts General Hospital. In his free time Joseph enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and a fresh slice from Modern Apizza.
